Also gut - wir halten fest:

Unter Jaguar gab es keine Probleme.

Der Tiger wurde sauber installiert.

Immer wieder Abstürze durch Quicktime.

RAM ist vermutlich wohl in Ordnung wenn diese Symptome unter 10.3 NICHT aufgetreten sind.

Jetzt würd ich erst mal einen Kompromiss vorschlagen:
Tiger drauf lassen.
QT7 runter, QT6 wieder drauf - hier der Link dafür

Dann siehst Du ja was passiert.

Schon möglich, daß 10.4 noch etwas buggy auf verschiedenen Rechnern sein kann :-(

Konsequenz für das irgendwann mal kommende 10.5
Die alte letzte gut funktionierende Systemversion belassen.
Und das neue System erst mal auf ne extra Platte - testen was geht und was nicht.

Ich glaub das wäre momentan das sinnvollste.
Der Aufwand ganz zurück auf 10-3-9 würd ich erst mal für den absoluten Notfall zurückstellen.

Du musst Dich übrigens für nix entschuldigen, nix muss Dir peinlich sein. Wichtig ist nur, daß man die Sachen erkennt und beim nächsten Mal versch. Dinge vielleicht anders macht.

ich werde tiger auf jeden fall erstmal drauf lassen.
momentan bin ich mal wieder voller hoffnung, dass es sich "ausgefroren" hat, denn das system läuft schon die ganze zeit ohne absturz.. aber man soll ja nichts beschreien.

es kann natürlich auch sein, dass das ganze mit QT auch nur ein zufall war und mein system einen ganz anderen fehler/konflikt oder sonstwas hat.. es wirkte ganz einfach nur so, als wär's QT irgendwie.

auf der apple seite steht, dass die qt-version NUR für 10.3.9 ist !..?
falls du dich verlesen hast und diese version nur für panther ist, gibt es denn eine version 6.x für tiger?


das derbe ist, dass der tiger auf meinem rechner (bis auf diese eine sache) absolut perfekt zu laufen scheint.. ich hatte sonst keine probleme, würd' ich sagen..

tempozuwachs ca. 20-30%

spasszuwach ca. 98-99% (den letzen % krieg ich nach dieser sache auch noch)

es ist aber wirklich sehr schön, dass einem hier geholfen wird.

ich habe diesmal einen kleinen film mit meiner digicam gemacht. hauptsächlich um zu zeigen, dass ich noch ganz normal mit der maus rumdüsen kann!

Wir hatten mal Probleme mit der 2. Bank in einem G5 - in der dritten funktionierten die Riegel.
Jedenfalls - erstmal raus -> Fehler eingrenzen...

bevor ich jetzt die riegel ausbaue, wollte ich nich schnell das zeigen, was die konsole zeigt, wenn ich sie nur einfach öffne..

das werden die "normalen" systemdateien sein, oder?
da steht viel von cyberduck (hatte ich nach dem absturz benutz, um den film hochzuladen)

..evtl. hilfts ja auch noch..

ich habe gerade den ram ausgebaut und dabei ist mir was ganz komisch vorgekommen:

ist es normal, dass die (ungleichen größen) über kreuz eingebaut sind?

ich habe ja einen sigle mit nur 4 bänken!

die riegel waren folgendermaßen verbaut:

von links nach rechts: 512 I 128 I 128 I 512

das kommt mir irgendwie komisch vor, vor allem weil die beiden linken bänke etwas abstand zu den beiden rechten bänken haben.

oder gehört das so?

 

es wäre ja sooo cool, wenn das mit dem crashlog stimmen würde..

-oder das mit den bänken wäre noch besser!!


(ich lass mir die laune nicht verderben)

kannst du mir noch einen tip geben wie ich herausfinde, ob mein crashlog etwas über ramfehler sagt?

ich wüsste ehrlich gesagt nichtmal, wo ich anfangen sollte zu suchen.

bin schon die ganze zeit am googlen, hab aber den verdacht, dass das viel zu komplex ist, um es "mal eben" zu lernen.
